The re-opening of the renovated Cliveden Spa this summer 2017 marks the completion of the extensive four-year refurbishment of this historic estate. Steeped in over 350 years of history, this new luxurious wellness facility will unveil 7 treatment rooms, areas of relaxation, indoor pool, sauna/steam rooms, manicure/pedicure salon, and new arrival and welcome experience for hotel guests, spa members, and day visitors. On the culinary side, there will be a new restaurant and lounge area overlooking the serene ‘Spa Garden’, with the option of ‘al fresco’ service.
Just outside the facility lies the famous ‘Profumo Pool’, the only historically listed swimming pool in England, that will remain a focal point of the manicured Spa Garden, surrounded by lush greens and lounge furniture. Easily accessible, a cleverly concealed glazed walkway will also bring hotel guests directly to the sanctuary of the spa, without having to venture outside. The new spa experience will be complemented by a luxurious range of bespoke British products.
This beautiful estate has two restaurants – fine dining at André Garrett Restaurant and a more casual dining atmosphere at The Astor Grill. André Garret’s innovative dishes, fastidious preparation, and immaculate finishes shine through in each exquisitely crafted creation. His love of locally sourced and fresh produce means our three-course à la carte and eight-course tasting menus are governed by English ingredients, guided by the seasons. The Astor Grill is located in the charming old stable block, which once housed Lord Astor’s most prized fillies. Adopting an equestrian theme in its décor, The Astor Grill is full of character offering relaxed, informal dining at Cliveden.
